WORKING WITH CONTRACTORS
- On November 8th, 2024, Contractors may see their Slack Apps refresh to reflect the enhancements that are happening to Internet Society's Slack Org.
- Channels with contractors in them will receive notifications that a Slack admin has added the channel to the Shared workspace.
- Channels that receive these notifications will remain multi-workspace channels.
- Contractors will only be in the Shared Workspace. Channel message history will be retained after the transition.
- Staff members that work with contractors must provide the IT department a list with each private channel their contractor is a member of by November 8th, 2024. Failing to do so, will result in the contractor losing membership to that channel and history for that contractor will be lost. Please open a ticket at ithelp@isoc.org with the channel list to confirm memberships with our records.
- After November 8th, 2024, all channels with contractors must be created in the Shared Workspace.
If you have any problems or questions, please submit a ticket to ithelp@isoc.org.
